Baby C at 15 Months!!!

Caroline,

15 months. Wow! You are the most delightful child. Your Daddy doesn't think you talk, but I hear you. I've been keeping a list on my phone of all the things you say. Over the past six months or so, I have compiled:

Up
Hi / Hey
Hold me
Mama /Mommy
Dada / Daddy
Book
Ball
Uh-oh
Banana
What's that?
That one.
All gone.
Wet
Alligator
Egg
Dryer
Fish
Help me.
Look
Milk
Water
More
So nice.
I don't want to.

You repeat letter sounds when we review your letters. You say:
a, b, c, e, f, h, i, k, l, m, o, p, r, s, u, v

You also follow all kinds of requests.
--------------------------------------------------------
Last weekend, we went to Stone Mountain for Daddy's company picnic.
You road the skyride to the top of the mountain,
hiked (part of) the Cherokee Trail,
enjoyed a story at the campfire corner, and played in the Great Barn.
You took a ride on the scenic railroad, rested your weary feet during the carillon concert, and toured an Antebellum Plantation. You even got to pet the animals in the farmyard.
It was a long day, but you loved it!

Summer camp is only half day, so we have been having lots of fun at home.
(You handle half-days at home much better than full days. )
You are slowly starting to appreciate the wonders of our neighborhood pool and splash pad.
We go on lots of trips to the local park. You find all kids of fun treasures while you are there -- you can spy a ball at a hundred yards.
You love to play with the playdough we made earlier in the month.
You also do a lot of painting.
I made cupcakes the other day, and you loved helping out.
Your new meal routine now includes scraping your plate into the trash and loading it in the dishwasher. You also clean the floor at every opportunity.
Miss Meenal gave you a pair of sunglasses, and they are by far your favorite item in your possession.
You also love to trash your bedroom after I put you to bed for the night.
I have finally gotten brave and started sending you to school with a spoon.
You have always been obsessed with lunch boxes, so I have finally broken down and bought you one. You love putting it away in the morning and are always the first to get your lunchbox and line up for lunch.
You are so proud that you have finally perfected the pincer grip and love to show me how nicely you hold your pencil when writing.
You take out multiple pencils, papers, stencils, and clipboards a day. I find half-completed stencils all over the classroom.
Have I mentioned before how much you love school?
Next week, you spend a whole week with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Bob, and then we are off to D.C. to visit Grandma Marlowe and Grandpa Bryan. I know you are going to have the best time!

Love you bunches Baby C,
Mommy
