Caroline's First Three Weeks

Each month (or so), I write Caroline a letter about her life. Rather than take the time to reference it and write something new, I thought a highly abridged cut-and-paste version would do:

Caroline,

We are so glad you have come into our lives! We have been oh so busy loving on you these past three weeks. You are such a good baby. You only cry when you are hungry, and even then, you try so hard to self-soothe by clasping your hands together and putting them in your mouth. At night, you had been sleeping in the moses basket by our bed, but for the past three nights, you have been sleeping in your crib in the nursery.

You are so strong! You used to not like tummy time, but even at three days old, you could wiggle off your tummy-time-mat and lift your head up high. Your daddy calls you a little inch worm, because you inch your way all about. You rolled over during your APGAR test (which you scored a 9) and have rolled over several times since. :)

When you were born, you were 5lbs. 10oz. and 18.75 inches. By the time we got home from the hospital, you were 5lbs. 3oz. You are now 6lbs. 14oz. and 19.75 inches

We love you!!

Lots of love,

Mommy
