Spooky Time!! ~ October 2013

Baby Girl,

You can crawl! You move all about, and when you want me you say, "Neeeeee, Neeeeeeee!"  You roll from back to front, and front to back. (Both ways -- right and left.)

I started this note on October first, but am just now finishing it. We have been so busy this month. You are perfect in every way, but we decided to go ahead and try to improve perfection with an orthotic helmet. Between weekly helmet fittings/adjustments/check-ups, bi-weekly physical therapy, flu shots and their boosters, Mommy's doctor and dentist appointments, violin lessons, after-school tutoring, family coming into town, 3K Sunday School Teaching, church picnics and retreats, Supper Club, Halloween parties, and three birthday invites, this month has been CRAZY!!

I just noticed last night (when finger-brushing your teeth) that you are starting to get your first tooth!!! You won't let me see it, but I feel something! You pull up on everything and have fabulous balance. You are a great little walker when we hold your hands. Your biggest trick last month was when you were put on your back, you immediately rolled over and pushed yourself up into a sitting position. You crawled, but your left leg stayed bent in front of you.

You now crawl with both feet out (traditional crawl) and are getting quite fast. You are getting much better at feeding yourself with a spoon and finger foods. You can eat just about everything now. You have had spaghetti squash, jalapeño cornbread, yams, pears, peaches, grits, biscuits, carrots, peas, saltines, pretzels, rice cakes, pumpkin, apples, raisins, craisins, and so much more! You can also fit in a high chair at restaurants, and you are very happy gnawing on the cloth napkins as Mommy and Daddy eat. You have pet a camel, a zebra, and a three-horned goat, but you were not too happy with the baby farm animals I brought to school.

Aunt Deborah came for a 5-day visit last week, and you had so much fun playing with her.

My beautiful, sweet, misshapen-headed baby got an orthotic helmet in October. For twelve weeks, she wore it for 23 hours a day. (I took it off for pictures.)
As you can see, she liked her "very special hat".

I sent this picture to my mom on Halloween. It's amazing how much she grew in just one month!

I'm not sure what I did to get this look.
I think they might be related. :)
